Privacy Policy

Introduction

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Weatherie ("we", "our", or "us") collects, how we use it, and who we share it with, when you use our mobile application and website. Weatherie is designed to work without an account — you are not asked to sign in or give us your name or email to use the app.

Information We Collect

• Location. If you grant location permission, your device's coordinates are sent to our weather service to fetch the forecast for where you are. You can use the app without this by choosing a city manually. Location is used to serve your request and briefly cached to speed up nearby lookups — it is not tied to your identity or used to profile you.
• Anonymous device identifier. To hold your purchases, credit balance, and unlocked themes without an account, we assign your install a random anonymous identifier. It is not linked to your name, email, or any advertising identifier.
• Purchases. When you buy a credit pack or unlock a theme, the transaction is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and validated through RevenueCat. We receive a confirmation that the purchase occurred and its product identifier — never your card or payment details.
• Diagnostic and technical data. Device type, operating-system version, and basic crash/diagnostic information, used to fix bugs and keep the app working.
• Preferences. Your theme, units, and display settings are stored locally on your device.

How We Use Information

We use the information above only to provide and improve Weatherie: to return the correct forecast, to remember what you have purchased and unlocked, to show relevant in-app promotions for our own apps, and to diagnose problems. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the app. Each has its own privacy policy:

• OpenWeatherMap — supplies forecast data; receives location coordinates to answer a weather request.
• RevenueCat — validates and manages purchases across the app stores.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — process payments for in-app purchases.
• Google Cloud — hosts our backend infrastructure.
• Advection Software — serves the in-house cross-promotion for our own apps. These promotions do not use an advertising identifier and do not track you across other apps.

Your Choices

You can revoke location permission at any time in your device's settings, and the app will keep working with a manually chosen city. Because there is no account, you can remove the data associated with your install simply by uninstalling the app. You may also contact us to request deletion of any purchase records tied to your anonymous identifier.

Children's Privacy

Weatherie is a family-friendly application and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date below.
